Two True?

Tomorrow my darling little boy, my baby, is turning two years old. The time goes way too fast. The way I feel about him is beyond words. He's a part of me which is more amazing that I ever dreamed. The amount of love a mother has for her child is indescribable. I never considered how much being a mom would change the way I see the world. I see a new baby with its mother and I smile. I hear an awful story of a baby hurt or sick and I want to cry. I must tell Tyler that I love him on average of 20 times a day. He learned to hug (really hug, squeezing) this week and I can't get enough! He's so smart and so adorable. And tomorrow he'll be two. I feel proud and thrilled and sad.

I always knew this was an age I looked forward to...old enough to walk and communicate and learn. I dread the day it's not so cool to hug and kiss Mommy. I pray that day will never come!

So Happy Birthday to my sweet Tyler-Man. I love you, buddy!

Sad

Today it was announced the a former schoolmate of mine, Officer David Moore, will not recover from the gun shot wounds he received Sunday during a routine traffic stop. David graduated high school with me and was a very good man. His family has decided to donate his organs, so his life will bless the lives of others. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Today I am thankful for my many blessings and sad for those who are going through difficult times.

Twin Talk

From time to time I plan to post conversations I have had with my twin sister. I'll do this for a couple of reasons.

1. I think they are funny.
2. She's the only person who reads my blog regularly right now.
3. I want to remember these exchanges.

So, without further ado, a text message exchange from last night:

Me: OMG Jim Carrey is dating one of the ANTM girls! Can you guess who?

Twin: Well, Adrienne is still married. Eva?

Me: Nope

Twin: Not Nicole?

Me: Nope. Not a winner.

Twin: Blind girl? Amanda?

Me: No, she's married and has a baby and she's totally blind now (yeah it's bad that I know this much about these girls) Think Caridee's season, but not Melrose.

Twin: Man-face? One of the twins? Indian Girl? Rock n Roll girl?

Me: Dingdingding! Anchal, the Indian girl.

Twin: She's hot. I don't blame him.

Me: LOL yeah Adam agrees. He says she has a nice rack. Wish you had come over tonight, we're gonna watch Vampires Suck.

Twin: Damn! You could have called! I still want to watch Easy A.

Me: We haven't started it yet, you can come over if you want

Twin: I'll pass, it's too cold to go out again

Me: No prob. Let me know when you want to come over for Easy A.

Twin: Soon! Love you sissyface!

Me: Love you too!

Twin: I'm so glad you're my twin. You're the best!

Me: Aw you just made my day! I feel the same way! You da best!

Twin: I'm pretty effing awesome :)

Me: Awesome? You're legend--

Twin: Wait for it!

Me: --Dary!

Twin: Heeeee! Oh and guess what.......Bulbous Guess I should explain this one....it's a word she says in a specific way that makes me giggle like a little girl!

Me: Hee! Know what else?...........It's my butthole! Wow didn't realize there were so many inside jokes here. This one is something we made up about my cat Dobby, who loves to climb up on you and stick his butt in your face

Twin: Heeeeee! Know what else what else? Hootchie Suckmuffin!

Me: With a side of peckerhead!

Twin: If we were around each other we would have the worst giggles right now!

Me: I know! We may have to repeat this conversation....actually it's going on my blog.

Twin: Lulz

To share or not to share?

How much does one share on one's blog? I have so much going on in my life, but do I want to put it out there on the internet for all to read? I'm not talking about vital statistics, but life choices and current goings-on...anyone want to weigh in on the subject?

Maybe it doesn't matter, considering my current reader-ship, but I have hopes that someday a few people might read this. Thoughts anyone?

Sidebar: my son is waaaay too technological. He is sitting on my lap. He has pressed several buttons, only to be scolded. Then he said, "Don't push a buttons." Now he is trying to touch "buttons" on the screen, as if it was a touch screen...

She's BACK!

So I've decided to give this blog another try. I've been reading more blogs lately and I've been writing a lot lately too. I still don't know if anyone will read what I write here, but we'll just wait and see!

So, to recap! I'm Melissa, a 28 year old working mom. I live in Indiana with my husband Adam, our almost-2-year-old (gasp! sob!) Tyler, and my mom. My older sister is also staying with us for awhile. We also have a beagle (Gracie) and 5 cats (Tippy, Dot, Tigger, Little Bit, and Dobby), plus my sister's two dogs (Misty and Honey). Needless to say, we have a VERY full house! I work full time and my mom watches Tyler for us.

That's me in a nutshell. Well, really that's a shallow definition of me, so I hope I can show you a lot more about me in the future. If you know me, I hope this is a good representation of me, if you're new to ME, leave a comment! I love to read other blogs and get to know new people.

Much more soon!

Melissa
